Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's room condition was a huge let down as it could do with a bit of TLC. I was disappointed that there was music on only one night, forcing me to seek entertainment elsewhere. On the positive side, the accessible room was convenient for me.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were of good size and very clean, but the carpet had some hair on it when I arrived, which was a bit off-putting. The service was friendly and helpful overall, although a few staff members were not welcoming. The location was excellent, right in the middle of the city, which was very convenient. The dining experience was lovely, and the facilities were decent. However, the rooms were a little dated, and the view was not impressive. Overall, it was a comfortable stay but with some room for improvement.
The hotel offers large and very comfortable rooms with a lovely bathroom, albeit a bit stuffy due to heat regulation issues and noise from pigeons at night. The service is friendly and efficient, although there were minor issues with the tap beers and a deceptive staff member. The location is excellent for exploring the center of Kilkenny town but lacks cleanliness in some areas. The dining experience is good with plentiful breakfast options, and the facilities are well-maintained.
The hotel rooms could do with a face lift, and it was extremely hot all night, but they were still large, clean, comfortable, and nice. Not quite up to 4-star standards though. The service went above and beyond, especially during busy breakfast times, with very polite and friendly staff. The location is excellent for walking around Kilkenny, being as central as it could be with great food options. The dining was good with very attentive staff, but the food could have been hotter. The hotel is well-maintained and enjoyable, though checking in was slightly understaffed, and there was no fridge in the rooms.
I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a suite, although I found the room to be quite cold. However, the steep price of over €700 for two rooms was a downside about the parking situation.
The hotel had a mix of positive and negative aspects. While the rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and the bed was comfortable, some areas smelled damp and musty. The staff were accommodating, and the breakfast was fabulous. However, for the price paid, one would expect a bit more to have the wow factor.
The hotel has some nice features like a warm pool and gym but it made it hard to sleep comfortably at night. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable, although the warm temperature was a bit of a drawback.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were lovely and spacious but could use some updating and a deeper clean. The service was friendly and helpful, although there were some hiccups. The location was great for peace and quiet but had a bit of a hassle factor. The dining experience was good overall, with a few minor issues. The facilities were decent but nothing outstanding.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The location is perfect for exploring the city center, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and had everything I needed, although a few more seating options in the lobby would make it even more inviting. The dining experience was top-class, and the service went above and beyond, especially during breakfast. Definitely a superb choice for a stay in this city.
